My hair is… thick and lustrous!

Before we went on lockdown, I… had minimal hair routine. I was pregnant and heavy lol.

My hair routine has changed now… I wash my hair (natural and locked, at its purest and most kinkiest) at least once a week with a 2in1 shampoo and moisturize with coconut oil. I’ve been using my daughter’s hair products since I haven’t had the time to go shopping as yet. I try to get the hard knots out by using my fingers to stretch my, I’m avoiding using a hairdryer as I’ve read a few articles which have said that heat does damage hair so I towel dry my hair.

The challenge with my hair is… the knots are lethal and real. Now I know and understand why my 6-year old used to just scream blue murder when I would wash or plait her hair, no comb used by the way! But yhhuu girl would just scream as if I was performing an exorcism on her lmao.

My lockdown hairstyle is… a little patting line in the front of my right side of my Afro, I think it makes me look cute and younger!

Top tip(s) anyone with your hair type can use to keep hair healthy and strong this winter? Do not wash your hair every day. Get in a routine with your hair and try to have a protective hairstyle done and leave it in girl, don’t try to change it every week. This will definitely help with growth and keeping them knots out. Oils oils oils – put some oil in that hair!

My favourite ORS product to use is the… coconut oil, castor oil, and the hair conditioner.
