Panellists include the likes of activists, educators, organisers and key opinion leaders who are creating positive impact and challenging the narrative on topics that matter.

Episode 1 of the COMMUNITY series features a discussion around Menstrual Heath and Period Poverty. Panellists include the episode’s discussion host, Leah Jazz – activist and host on 5FM; Rebecca Arnott – Co-founder and Director of Panda Pads, an organisation that focuses on producing and distributing reusable menstrual pads to underprivileged women; and Murunwa Mutele – 21-year-old Founder and Chairperson of the non-profit organisation I Am SHE, a movement for girls and women that strives to end period poverty.

Also joining the panel discussion is specialist Gynaecologist Dr. Sumayya Ebrahim, who with over 25 years of experience within her medical field, is passionate about educating women and their families on appropriate and informed health and reproductive choices. Dr. Ebrahim is also a founding member of Blossom Care – a social enterprise developed to combat the issues brought about by period poverty in South Africa, while also investing in sustainable job creation.
